A failed sealed unit cannot be repaired. The glass unit itself can be replaced in some cases, but if the frame is also deteriorating it is usually more cost effective to replace the whole window. A window with failed sealed units is providing very little thermal insulation, meaning your heating is working harder than it needs to.
Sign 2: Draughts Around the Frame
If you can feel cold air coming in around the edges of your windows when they are closed, the seals around the frame have deteriorated. Over time, the rubber gaskets and brush seals that prevent air infiltration compress and crack. Once they fail, the window no longer provides an effective barrier against the weather.
